He has spent much of his career helping business owners stabilize and grow their companies. His work history includes stints with the Chapel Hill, Eden, McDowell and Durham Chambers of Commerce. He also led a state-wide business/education partnership, as part of the Governor Mike Easley administration, and one nationwide membership association, the US Jaycees. At home, Harper is a father of five and enjoys gardening.
