About Us

The Agricultural Program at the Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub offers a wide range of resources for students pursuing degree programs relating to agricultural science. Additionally, the program acts as a vital resource to local small farmers in the region and throughout North Carolina.

We provide hands-on learning experiences, helping students apply their knowledge in real-world settings. By collaborating with local farmers, the program fosters community growth, offering support and resources that enhance agricultural practices across North Carolina.

What We Offer?

The UNCP Thomas Hub Agricultural Program offers the following resources to the local farming community:

GAP Training

Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) training offered through the Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub is a voluntary certification program that educates local farmers on food safety and the safe handling of food in a facility.

Equipment Sharing

The program offers specialized, shared equipment designed to support the development of small farming operations, giving farmers the tools they need to grow and succeed.

Ag Business Counseling

The program provides services, resources, and education on essential business functions in agriculture, helping farmers manage and grow their operations successfully.
